This feature (auto resizing for different sizes in blog layout) will be possible when the Joomla will send the type of the article of the blog (intro 1-column article or several column article) to the content plugin

ok, I understand. Wouldn't be possible to "deicide" on the image size based on the div picture is located in? Hence there is "leading" div and "item-row" div..
